Vacancy for Digital Scholarship and Innovation Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our digital scholarship and innovation teams in delivering an enhanced, integrated student and staff digital experience.

The successful candidate will drive forward digital innovation and lead the teams in delivering an ambitious roadmap for digital activity within the Library, making our collections fully accessible online in various formats, including computational access.

The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team within the Library, Archives and Learning Services and will help set the overall direction for the Services as well as playing a role in wider University initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the digital scholarship and innovation teams in delivering an enhanced, integrated student and staff digital experience.
  • Drive forward digital innovation and lead the teams in delivering an ambitious roadmap for digital activity within the Library.
  • Make our collections fully accessible online in various formats, including computational access.
  • Play a key role in setting the overall direction for the Services and contributing to wider University initiatives.
Requirements
  • Level 6 qualification or equivalent non-UK qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital scholarship, digital skills, and the digital library sphere.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the changing HE environment, especially the role of digital technologies and the impact on scholarship, teaching, and learning.
  • Ability to work under pressure, find innovative and practical solutions to problems, make decisions, and involve all members of the team in the delivery of user-focused, high-quality services.
