Vacancy for Digital Scholarship Leadership

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our digital scholarship teams in delivering an enhanced, integrated student and staff digital experience.

The successful candidate will drive forward digital innovation, develop and implement strategies for digital scholarship, and lead the team in delivering high-quality services to our users.

The role is part of our Senior Leadership Team and will help set the overall direction for our services as well as playing a role in wider University initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for digital scholarship, including the development of digital collections and resources.
  • Lead the digital scholarship team in delivering high-quality services to our users, including the development of digital skills and the provision of digital resources.
  • Drive forward digital innovation, including the development of new technologies and the implementation of digital solutions.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure that our digital services are aligned with the overall strategy of the University.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including academics, researchers, and students.
Requirements
  • Level 6 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital scholarship, digital skills, and the digital library sphere.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the changing HE environment, especially the role of digital technologies and the impact on scholarship, teaching, and learning.
  • Ability to work under pressure, find innovative and practical solutions to problems, and make decisions.
