Perinatal Governance and Quality Improvement Lead

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to join our team as a Perinatal Governance and Quality Improvement Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, driving improvements in patient safety and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Perinatal Governance and Quality Improvement in the organisation and delivery of the perinatal strategy and alignment with the overall Trust governance processes.
- Oversee the implementation of clinical audit and other clinical effectiveness processes to improve quality, risk, and safety.
- Ensure systems are in place to monitor the quality of care, KPIs, and outcomes to provide assurance that all clinical teams are delivering ongoing quality improvements.
- Support clinical teams with external reviews, Quality Assurance visits, and ensure processes and support are in place for ongoing monitoring and quality improvement methodology.
- Implement agreed systems and processes to provide assurance of the delivery of patient safety and prevention of harm in line with national and local standards of care.
Requirements:
- Registered Midwife with experience in maternity risk management and governance.
- Change management experience and Human Factors Training.
- Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate experience or currently on a masters pathway.
- Excellent presentation and training skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Ability to work on own initiative and engage with external system partners.
