Adult Safeguarding Co-ordinator

South West London Integrated Care Board is seeking an experienced Adult Safeguarding Co-ordinator to join our team. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of adults in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Adult Safeguarding: To lead the development and implementation of adult safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current statutory guidance and best practice.
  2. Case Management: To manage and oversee individual complex cases, coordinating with local authorities and service providers to ensure timely and appropriate referrals to the Disclosure and Barring Service and/or Regulatory Bodies.
  3. Advice and Guidance: To provide highly specialist advice on safeguarding issues, working closely with partners and other organisations to ensure the best possible outcomes for adults at risk.
  4. Policy Development: To lead on the development and dissemination of relevant South West London Integrated Care Board adult safeguarding policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
  5. Reporting and Monitoring: To prepare an annual report for the South West London Integrated Care Board and contribute to the Safeguarding Adults Board Strategic Plan and Annual Report.
  6. Mental Capacity Act Lead: To undertake the role of Mental Capacity Act Lead, providing advice on the Mental Capacity Act, including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard/Liberty Protection Safeguard issues.
  7. Learning from Lives and Deaths Review: To support the Learning from Lives and Deaths Review (LeDeR) programme for the South West London Integrated Care Board, working closely with the LeDeR team.
  8. Information Management: To ensure that recording systems are in place about decision making and recommendations relating to the management of allegations, and to ensure the control of information is in accordance with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  9. Partnership Working: To work in partnership with providers to offer oversight and assurance in relation to performance management frameworks, dashboards, and the patient experience.
  10. Advice and Support: To advise partners and other organisations on health matters in relation to adult safeguarding.
