Safeguarding Manager Job Description

Job Title: Safeguarding Manager

Location: Cornwall, Exeter, or Weston-Super-Mare

Salary: £41,479 - £46,088

The Role:

  1. Provide Guidance and Support: Assist colleagues in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns, including training on types and signs of abuse.
  2. Case Management: Oversee case management, data tracking, and follow-up action plans to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  3. Safeguarding Policies: Lead the coordination and development of safeguarding policies, maintaining compliance with legislation and best practices.
  4. Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with external partners and agencies to ensure joined-up approaches to safeguarding, including relevant experience in managing complex safeguarding cases.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience in managing complex safeguarding cases involving adults and children.
  2. Understanding of legislation surrounding safeguarding, mental capacity, domestic abuse, and reporting processes.
  3. Ability to coordinate safeguarding concerns and identify potential risks.
  4. Possession of a level 3 safeguarding qualification.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time, permanent position with the option for hybrid working. Consideration will be given to job share or flexible working arrangements.
