About the Role

Fawkes & Reece South is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead our industrial facility project in Somerset. As the No1 Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client liaison and communication throughout the project
  • Long-term, mid-term, and short-term programming of works
  • Design development with consultant design teams
  • Management and mentoring of Assistant Site Managers
  • Ensuring company health and safety standards are planned, communicated, achieved, and enforced
  • Review of method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
  • Organizing deliveries of materials, logistics, waste management, etc.
  • Quality control, inspections, and test plans
  • Ensuring works progress on programme
  • Regular liaison with end-users, working in daily contact with the school head and staff
  • Coordination meetings with trades and other managers
  • Reporting on progress against programme
  • Issue resolution
  • Snagging and handover
About the Company

Fawkes & Reece South is a busy national main contractor group with a proven track record in delivering large and medium-sized new build and refurbishment schemes. We have a nationwide presence due to our commercial clients, and we are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team.

Requirements
  • Highly motivated and proactive individual with excellent technical, organizational, man-management, and communication skills
  • Proven track record of work for a UK-based commercial main contractor is advantageous
  • Previous experience of working with relevant contractors on industrial buildings, labs, and commercial premises on the structural/shell and core elements is advantageous
  • Strong planning and problem-solving ability, with a positive 'get it right first time' approach
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications are required
