We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at JD Sports. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts for store variable costs, including detailed variance analysis and supporting commentary.
- Assist in producing monthly, half-year, and year-end Group reporting packs, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicating these to the Retail Finance Manager.
- Support the Commercial Finance team in the production of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts for store variable costs.
- Implement controls in line with the Group's Financial controls programme and assist with audit queries.
- Part Qualified/Finalist CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant with experience of management accounting.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and remediate risks, with the ability to investigate, understand, and explain variances and overall business performance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience of Power BI/Power query an advantage.
- A positive, flexible, enthusiastic, and driven attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop.
