About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering medicines to patients, undertaking competency-based training, and promoting safe and timely administration of medicines.

This is a 5-hour/week fixed-term (18 months) vacancy that offers comprehensive training and opportunities for development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering medicines to selected patients in accordance with prescription requirements
  • Undertaking competency-based training in the preparation and administration of medicines
  • Being competent in the administration of prescribed medicines to allocated inpatients against an inpatient prescription following the Trust's Medicines Management policy
  • Accurately recording the administration of medicines on the inpatient prescription

Requirements:

  • Qualified pharmacy technician
  • Level 3 NVQ pharmacy or equivalent

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum
