Job Title: Portfolio Management Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Management Analyst to join our team at Brookfield Properties. As a key member of our asset management organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the strategic decision-making process for our real estate portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex financial analysis and valuations to inform investment decisions
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the impact of returns on our portfolio
  • Prepare marketing materials for internal and external stakeholders, including co-investor reporting packages and quarterly reporting
  • Assist in the preparation and review of internal fund reporting
  • Support operating management teams and asset management colleagues with corporate development transactions, including financings, acquisitions, and strategic planning
  • Attend quarterly board meetings for our portfolio companies and assist with preparation of materials
  • Write investment committee memoranda and present investment recommendations
  • Maintain industry data and summarize publicly available information on a regular basis
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate investing, investment banking, M&A, and/or private equity
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, German, or another European language is an asset
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills, ideally with a real estate and/or corporate focus
  • Existing knowledge of hotel operations and capital markets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Project planning and self-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
