About the Role

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the digital transformation of our services. As the Digital Transformation Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with the Trust's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a digital transformation strategy that enhances the Trust's services and improves patient outcomes.
  • Oversee the management of digital services, including the development and maintenance of electronic patient records and related systems.
  • Collaborate with senior clinicians and managers to ensure the successful delivery of digital transformation programs.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Identify and develop digital solutions that maximize financial efficiency and improve patient care.
  • Oversee the ongoing development and leadership of the Digital and Data Services team, ensuring it is appropriately resourced and managed to deliver the Trust's digital agenda.
About the Trust

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Our services are provided from three locations: The Countess of Chester Hospital, Ellesmere Port Hospital, and Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional knowledge acquired through a degree, supplemented by specialist training to Masters or equivalent level, management qualification or equivalent, experience.
  • Management qualification and/or proven experience through practice.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Membership of a professional body (BCS).
  • Qualification in Programme and/or Project Management (PRINCE2).
  • Professional qualification in IT Service Management.
