The British Academy of Jewellery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Communications and Partnerships Director to lead our communications, marketing, and development efforts. This exciting role will be responsible for driving measurable growth in enrolment, partnerships, and brand engagement through strategic initiatives.

About the Role

This key position will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy, elevating the British Academy of Jewellery's brand and expanding its reach within the jewellery, education, and creative industries. The successful candidate will lead creative content creation for digital platforms, manage media relations, and build relationships with key stakeholders.

As part of our leadership team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to align communications and development efforts with our strategic objectives. You will also lead and manage a team of communications and marketing professionals, providing clear direction, development opportunities, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy to elevate the British Academy of Jewellery's brand and expand its reach.
  • Lead creative content creation for digital platforms, including website management, social media, email campaigns, and outreach.
  • Manage media relations, securing strategic press coverage and building relationships with key media contacts.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials, such as prospectuses, brochures, and promotional videos.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with industry leaders, businesses, educational institutions, and other strategic stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Establish and lead fundraising and sponsorship strategies, working with corporate partners, grant providers, and philanthropic organisations.
  • Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to increase student enrolment across all programmes.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
