Advanced Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Surgery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist to lead our Colchester Inpatients Surgical and Oncology Therapy Team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in advanced clinical practice and a proven track record of leadership and management.
The ideal candidate will have excellent team building and team working skills, with the ability to develop and support the OT/PT team in these clinical areas. They will also have a robust understanding of all aspects of Clinical Governance, including previous experience of quality issues, audit, and risk management.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the Colchester Inpatients Surgical and Oncology Therapy Team, providing specialist clinical leadership and management.
- Develop and support the OT/PT team in these clinical areas, promoting high standards of professional practice and the leadership of delivery of quality care.
- Manage a team of staff in the clinical area, including OTs, PTs, and therapy assistants, providing supervision, appraisal, and support and development of staff.
- Maintain a high level of awareness of relevant research trends and national recommendations regarding therapy interventions.

Requirements- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
- Commitment to advanced clinical and professional development.
- Recognised post graduate qualification e.g. li>
- Proven Band 6 (rotational) experience in a variety of relevant specialties including at least one in a surgical specialism.
- Previous experience of student supervision and clinical education.
- Robust understanding of all aspects of Clinical Governance including previous experience of quality issues, audit, and risk management.
- Exceptional team building and team working skills.
