Advanced Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Physiotherapist to join our Neuro-Rehab team at Colchester Hospital. This is a fixed-term role until 31st March 2025.
Our team provides long-term management for people with various neurological conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Motor Neuron Disease, and traumatic brain injury. We work closely with other agencies to provide person-centered care.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialist assessment, treatment, and advice to patients with complex conditions in primary and secondary care settings.
- Carry out risk assessments and provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team on manual handling and neurology patient care.
- Work autonomously managing own workload, including patients with highly specialist needs.
- Participate in delivering specialist training and supervision of junior staff, assistants, and students.

Person Specification:- Registered physiotherapist with HCPC
- Professional knowledge and skills acquired through formal training, short courses, and experience to degree level or equivalent
- Relevant post-qualification training through short courses and/or further study and experience
- Registered member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Recognised registered qualification and further courses and experience relevant to the role
- Substantial post-registration experience working at Band 5 level in core rotations
- Competencies relevant to specialism
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary team
- Experience of working as a Band 6
- Experience of research/audit methodology
