As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to develop your supervisory and management skills through supporting and supervising junior therapists, students, and/or therapy support workers. You will have a strong focus on quality improvement and education within the acute medicine setting.
- Playing a specialist role in the advanced assessment, treatment, and clinical management of patients on surgical and oncology wards.
- Developing and supporting the OT/PT team in these clinical areas.
- Managing a team of staff in the clinical area, including OTs, PTs, and therapy assistants.
- Providing professional leadership involving recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and support and development of staff.
- Promoting high standards of professional practice and the leadership of delivery of quality care within the inpatient setting.
- Maintaining a high level of awareness of relevant research trends and national recommendations regarding therapy interventions.

Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics, and in patients' own homes.

You will be required to participate in the 7-day working rota within the acute Colchester therapy teams, and if a Physiotherapist, to participate in the on-call respiratory rota.
