Job Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team of three therapists. The role includes supporting the school staff, residential staff, and parents through liaisons, subject-specific support, classroom, and environmental modifications/advice as well as delivering workshops/training.
  • The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for a designated small caseload, ensuring timely and effective management of Occupational Therapy needs while maintaining an individualised approach.
  • You will identify and implement appropriate assessments to evaluate the Occupational Therapy needs of students within various contexts, providing comprehensive analysis of results.
  • Making clinical decisions and devising therapy goals and plans using evidence-based practice to meet changing student needs following a tiered model of service delivery.
  • Attending meetings to represent Occupational Therapy and/or student needs, such as school MDT meetings, Child in Need meetings, Student Council, and Annual Reviews.
  • Planning and delivering individual therapy, small group work, and class-based interventions using evidence-based approaches.
