Job Summary:

Croydon Council is seeking a qualified ESOL tutor to join our team of sessional lecturers. As a sessional ESOL tutor, you will be responsible for teaching English as a second language to students at various levels, from Pre-Entry to Level 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach ESOL classes to students at various levels, using a range of teaching methods and materials.
  • Prepare learners for progression and accreditation, as required.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with other tutors and staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in ESOL teaching (CELTA or equivalent).
  • Teaching or training qualification (Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training or equivalent).
  • Experience of teaching ESOL to students at various levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
