About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Arnfield Care Ltd. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our young people.

Our school provides a unique and supportive environment for children and young people who require additional support to access education. We pride ourselves on our innovative and varied curriculum, which is tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of senior education staff to deliver high-quality learning and teaching. You will contribute to the personalised nature of our education provision by communicating regularly with the education team and care staff about each pupil's progress and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality, tailored learning and teaching under the instruction and guidance of senior education staff.
  • Contribute to the personalised nature of our education provision by communicating regularly with the education team and care staff.
  • Work across multiple sites and in the local and wider community as part of our varied education offer.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of our children and young people at all times.

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant teaching qualification (Level 4 TA qualification or Teaching qualification).
  • Specialism or demonstrable experience in supporting the wider KS2 curriculum.
  • Experience engaging reluctant learners and dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Innate ability to relate to young people.
  • Understanding of the national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with colleagues and external parties.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a full, valid manual driving licence.
