Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Glossop

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Hours: 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at our Independent School. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students, supporting them in overcoming social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our senior education professionals to provide personalized learning experiences, engaging with students on a one-to-one basis and delivering tailored learning and teaching under their guidance. You will also communicate regularly with our education and care teams to address each student's needs, ensuring their welfare and promoting their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality education to students, supporting them in overcoming social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
  • Work closely with senior education professionals to provide personalized learning experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with education and care teams to address each student's needs.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people at all times.

Requirements:
  • Relevant Level 3 teaching assistant qualification or above.
  • Experience in the wider KS2 curriculum and engaging with reluctant learners.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and relate well to young people.
  • Understanding of the national curriculum and experience using various educational tools.
  • Valid UK work eligibility and a manual driving license.
