English Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a passionate English graduate to join our team as a teaching assistant in a supportive school in the Glossop area. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable experience in education while making a tangible difference in students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of interactive English lessons, ensuring that students are actively engaged and supported throughout.
  • Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students struggling with literacy, grammar, reading comprehension, or writing skills.
  • Help mark assignments and provide constructive feedback to students, fostering a growth mindset and encouraging continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain concepts and provide effective feedback.
  • The ability to support students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who may struggle with certain aspects of their learning.
