About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Victim Services Officer to join our team at the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering the Provincial Victim Services Program, ensuring that victims of crime receive the support they need to navigate the complex criminal justice system.

Your primary responsibilities will include communicating effectively with government officials, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of services, identifying gaps in service and developing strategies to address them, supporting victims in accessing justice, and referring them to relevant resources.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of the criminal justice system and community resources. A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, three years' related experience, and proficiency in French would be considered assets.
