**Job Description**

The Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia is seeking a skilled Victim Services Coordinator to join their team. This position involves delivering the Provincial Victim Services Program and working closely with government agencies, community organizations, and advocacy groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective communication networks with government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate services for victims of crime within the criminal justice system and the community.
  • Assess risk and communicate information in accordance with the High-Risk Domestic Violence Case Coordination Protocol framework and program policy and procedures.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and advocacy groups to provide culturally specific supports and services.
  • Support survivors and families of human trafficking and sexual exploitation through referrals to culturally appropriate resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or related field.
  • Three years of related experience providing client services in the community.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and interviewing skills.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system, community resources, and relevant legislation.
  • High level of judgment, independent decision-making, and discretion.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel to multiple locations.
