About the Role

As a Probation Services Officer, you'll work closely with offenders who are pre or post-release from prison or serving community sentences. Your role will be to support their rehabilitation and protect the public.

This involves assessing and managing risks, providing information to courts, and working closely with agencies throughout the justice system.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing practical advice about housing and employment
  • Listening and supporting offenders to help them make positive changes
  • Working with other agencies and groups to prevent crime and meet the needs of victims and people on probation

Skills and Qualifications:

We're looking for someone with high-level numeracy and literacy skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths, is essential for this role.
