This position is a key member of the Product Development Team at Revvity, responsible for designing, performing, and interpreting experiments to support product development workstreams under the supervision of a line manager.

They will ensure that experiments are well-organized, with responsibility for managing equipment time, availability, lab space, and experimental design to generate results in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will demonstrate autonomy in experiment preparation, maximizing their time and ensuring it is used wisely between projects.

They will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate data, experiments, reports, and lab books as expected by Revvity.

Effective time management is crucial to deliver required results in this full-time lab-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a functional member of workstreams within Revvity's project management system.
  • May be required to supervise new team members on occasion.
  • Carrying out routine laboratory testing.
  • Demonstrating the ability to aid other departments, including regulatory and quality, on development projects.
  • Participating actively in project meetings and showing a level of understanding for development projects, including experiment design and project direction.
  • Generating data independently and defending it to team members.
  • Producing and presenting reports to the development team and wider Revvity family.

Specific Deliverables:

  • Conducting and recording experiments as defined by workstreams, ensuring timely completion.
  • Communicating any potential delays or issues with projects to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Traveling to internal and external sites as needed to meet project milestones.
  • Prioritizing workload to ensure key objectives agreed with the supervisor.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
  • Presenting data at internal meetings as required.
  • Ensuring projects are conducted in accordance with Revvity's Quality Management System and regulatory standards.
  • Writing conclusions in experimental reports that reflect the data presented and ensuring reports are of high quality.
  • Operating as a scientist in support of all projects within the development department, adhering to the Quality Management System, including ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 17025:2005.
  • Conducting literature reviews to a high standard.
  • Working in accordance with Revvity's company values.
