Job Summary

HCRG Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence in daily activities and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Goal Setting: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' abilities and collaborate with them to set realistic goals for regaining independence in daily activities.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop personalized plans to address patients' specific needs, including:
    • Training in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL)
    • Recommendations for adaptive equipment and technology
    • Modifications to home and work environments
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various techniques, including:
    • Exercise and physical activity programs
    • Cognitive rehabilitation
    • Compensatory strategies for physical limitations
    • Education on energy conservation and pacing
  • Pain Management: Help patients manage chronic pain through various techniques.
  • Rehabilitation and Health Promotion: Assist patients in regaining independence in daily activities after injury or illness, and educate them on healthy lifestyle choices, injury prevention, and wellness strategies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the relevant professional body
  • Experience working with patients with a range of conditions and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
