Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. This exciting opportunity will see you working in a specialist mental health hospital based in the Greater Manchester area.

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families, and visitors. You will apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicate these requirements to the wider team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working as a Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families, and visitors.
  • Applying relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicating these requirements to the wider team.
  • Ensuring that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met.
  • Respecting and applying the requirements of equality and diversity, promoting and role modeling these across the team.
  • Identifying deficits in skill mix and safe staffing levels and acting to address these.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, experience in delivering and receiving supervision, and the ability to assess and prioritize clinical situations. They will also have experience in mental health or learning disability services and at least 3 years' experience post-registration.

The salary for this role is £40,014 - £43,313.92 per annum DOE, and the benefits package includes enhancements, a £5,000 welcome bonus, free onsite parking, subsidized lunches, your birthday off, 25 days holiday, online benefits, and career progression.
