Wheel Technician Specialist

We are seeking a diligent and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Alloy Wheel Technician in Stafford. This is a full-time role, working 44 hours per week, with overtime required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out small repairs and paintwork on alloy wheels, as well as milling and cutting diamond-cut alloys. Key skills required include the ability to work on own initiative, great people skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Preparing alloy wheels for paintwork involves cleaning and degreasing the surface, followed by sanding and priming.
- Carrying out small alloy wheel repairs requires assessing the damage, selecting the appropriate repair method, and executing the repair to a high standard.
- Removing and refitting tyres requires careful handling of the vehicle's tyres and wheels, ensuring proper alignment and balance.
- Balancing wheels after repair involves checking the tyre pressure, inspecting the wheel bearings, and adjusting the wheel balance to ensure smooth rotation.
- Mixing paint to apply to wheels requires selecting the correct paint colour, mixing the paint according to the manufacturer's instructions, and applying it evenly to the wheel surface.
Key Requirements:
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role, as well as the ability to multi-task and work independently.
