We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Operator Freight to join our team at Petroineos Trading Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day trading operations of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate operations from trade inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution of freight and logistics activities.
  • Execute blend plans provided by the trading team and liaise with third-party storage terminals to ensure efficient cargo handling.
  • Obtain clean acceptance of vessels in a timely manner and issue voyage orders to shipping and counterparties.
  • Monitor progress of vessels and inform the trading team of any slippage or speed-ups.
  • Appoint approved inspectors as required and ensure cargo loading and discharging adhere to credit or L/C requirements.
  • Accurately update trading systems and check all calculations relating to the trade, including freight and freight diff, interim port calculations, demurrage, inspectors, cargo superintendents, gains/losses, insurance, and additives.
  • Minimize profit leakage and make or assist in claims where necessary.
  • Establish and maintain good and professional working relationships with internal and external counterparties.
  • Maintain accurate records of each cargo, including prompt and accurate filing.
  • Maintain excellent HSE standards and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational processes and assist the operations team to provide timely and accurate information for month and quarter-end reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Relevant commercial experience desired, ideally with a minimum of 3 years' operations experience.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work effectively with peers, customers, and management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
