About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Community Nurse to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in asthma, eczema, and constipation care, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to children and young people in various settings, including homes, schools, and community clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and deliver specialist nursing care to children and young people with asthma, eczema, and constipation.
  • Provide expert nursing advice and carry out specialized nursing procedures.
  • Facilitate early discharge and prevent hospital admissions through proactive community care.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff and students.
  • Engage in research and lead clinical audits within your specialist area.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Child) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and relevant post-registration qualifications.
  • Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner in acute, community, or primary care settings.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated awareness of clinical governance and risk management.
  • Ability to use IT systems to manage patients and demonstrate effective technical skills.
