ASD Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a mainstream Primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to the child with ASD, focusing on their academic and social development.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience.
- Support the child's emotional and behavioral needs, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD and other special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Knowledge of autism-friendly strategies and techniques, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
