About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Programme Assistant to join our small and friendly Bowel Cancer Screening team at the Quadram Institute, within the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the BCSP Management Team to ensure the effective delivery of the Programme.
  • Coordinate pre-assessment clinics for Specialist Screening Practitioners, arranging for notes to be called or collected as necessary.
  • Print communication production from the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme system on a daily basis.
  • Act as the first point of contact with the Regional Hub, recording results and arranging nurse-led clinic appointments.
  • Arrange colonoscopy appointments at the identified screening centre.
Requirements
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent.
  • Keyboard skills to RSA III or equivalent.
  • Ability and willingness to undergo further training as necessary.
  • Significant experience of Waiting Lists and booking appointments, along with knowledge of NHS targets.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and GroupWise Email.
