Activity Coordinator

At Bupa, we are committed to delivering person-centred care and supporting independence for our residents. We are seeking an experienced Activity Coordinator to join our team at Kilfillan House Care Home.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engaging activities for residents, including musical performances, days out, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
- Produce and update an activity planner for the home, working within a set activities budget.
- Support residents in participating in activities and encourage them to try new things.
- Organize birthday surprises and special events for residents.
- Ensure all activities and events are well-planned and executed.
- Liaise with external companies and performers to arrange days out and events.
- Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner duties as needed.
- Organize one-to-one sessions with residents, using reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and a chat.
- Update paperwork, care plans, activity notes, and manage emails.
- Support the home with social media channels as required.
- Experience in a care home or similar setting.
- Ability to develop and implement engaging activities for residents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work within a set budget and prioritize tasks effectively.
