About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Activity Coordinator to join our team at Kilfillan House Care Home. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities for our residents, promoting their physical and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver morning and afternoon activity sessions, tailored to meet the needs and interests of our residents.
  • Produce and update an activity planner for the home, working within a set activities budget.
  • Support residents in participating in activities and encourage them to engage with their peers.
  • Organize birthday surprises and other special events for our residents.
  • Coordinate with external companies and performers to arrange days out and events at the home.
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner duties as needed.
  • Organize one-to-one sessions with residents, using tools such as reminiscence therapy, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation.
  • Update paperwork, care plans, activity notes, and manage emails.
  • Support the home with social media management as required.
Requirements

We are looking for a creative thinker with excellent organizational skills, who can manage budgets and maintain paperwork effectively. You should be passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, with a sense of humor and the ability to spread enthusiasm and community spirit.
