About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Activity Coordinator to join our team at Bupa's care home. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and supporting the independence of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging activity programs for residents, including musical performances, outings, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
- Produce and update activity planners, working within a set budget to ensure a variety of activities are available.
- Support residents in participating in activities and encourage them to engage in their preferred hobbies.
- Organize birthday celebrations and other special events for residents.
- Coordinate logistics for planned activities, events, and outings, including liaising with external providers.
- Assist with meal duties and other tasks as needed.
- Provide one-to-one support for residents, including reminiscence therapy, puzzles, reading, and social interaction.
- Maintain accurate records, including activity notes, care plans, and emails.
- Support the care home's social media presence and other marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
