Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a creative and organized individual to join our team as an Activity Coordinator at Kilfillan House Care Home. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities for our residents, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver morning and afternoon activity sessions, incorporating a range of activities such as musical performances, days out, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
- Produce and update an activity planner for the home, working within a set activities budget.
- Support residents in participating in activities and encourage them to engage with their peers.
- Organize birthday surprises for residents and ensure that all necessary arrangements are made for planned activities and events.
- Liaise with external companies and performers to arrange days out and events at the home.
- Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner duties as needed.
- Organize one-to-one sessions with residents, using tools such as reminiscence therapy, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation.
- Update paperwork, care plans, activity notes, and manage emails.
- Support the home with their social media channels as required.
We are looking for a creative thinker with excellent organizational skills, who can manage budgets and maintain paperwork effectively. You should be passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, have a sense of humor, and be able to spread enthusiasm and community spirit.
