About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Activity Coordinator to join our team at Bupa's care home. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and supporting the independence of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging activity programs for residents, including musical performances, outings, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
  • Produce and update activity planners, working within a set budget to ensure a variety of activities are available.
  • Support residents in participating in activities and encourage them to engage in their interests.
  • Organize birthday surprises and special events for residents.
  • Coordinate logistics for planned activities, events, and outings, including liaising with external companies and performers.
  • Assist with meal duties and support the care team as needed.
  • Organize one-to-one sessions with residents, using tools such as reminiscence therapy, puzzles, and reading to promote social interaction.
  • Update paperwork, care plans, and activity notes, and manage emails related to the role.
  • Support the care home's social media presence as required.

Requirements

  • A creative and organized individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Passion for delivering person-centred care and supporting the independence of residents.
  • Experience in a care or activity coordination role is desirable.
