About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our client's team in Southport. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for leading the Finance Department, ensuring smooth daily operations, and overseeing a team of 3. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or a related field, along with ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification or QBE experience. Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills are essential, as well as previous experience in distribution and advanced Microsoft Excel ability.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the Finance Department, ensuring efficient financial planning, analysis, and management processes.
- Design and deliver financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, quarterly VAT returns, and coordinate tax/year end auditing processes.
- Manage financial risks and develop financial policies and procedures.
