Job Title: Innovation Literacy Co-ordinator

The Manchester College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Innovation Literacy Co-ordinator. This is a fixed-term position, lasting until March 2025, working full-time (35 hours per week).

About the Role

This role is part of the Greater Manchester Further Education Innovation programme (GMFEIP), funded by Innovate UK. The primary objective of the Innovation Literacy Co-ordinator is to equip apprentices with the knowledge and confidence to support innovative practice within their businesses and empower them to become 'Apprentice Innovation Ambassadors'.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate training programs and educational initiatives, preferably within the apprenticeship sector.
  • Work with businesses to identify opportunities for training, growth, and increased productivity through innovation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster a culture of innovation within the business community.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders from various sectors and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
Requirements
  • Level 4 or relevant experience.
  • Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel in the borough on a regular basis and across GM on occasional basis.
  • Experience in coordinating training programs or educational initiatives, preferably within the apprenticeship sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends effectively.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with a knack for inspiring creativity and collaboration.
