About the Role

The Manchester College is seeking an experienced Innovation Literacy Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term basis. As an Innovation Literacy Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in equipping apprentices with the knowledge and confidence to support innovative practice within their businesses.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communication and Promotion
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the Innovation Literacy training program to apprentices, employers, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the training program.
  • Facilitation and Coordination
    • Coordinate workshops, seminars, and training sessions related to innovation literacy for apprentices.
    • Collaborate with other Innovation Literacy Coordinators across the Greater Manchester Boroughs to achieve program objectives.
  • Training Delivery
    • Oversee the delivery of the Innovation Literacy training curriculum, ensuring alignment with program objectives and standards.
    • Provide support and guidance to apprentices participating in the training program.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
    • Monitor the progress of apprentices enrolled in the Innovation Literacy training program against program objectives.
    • Prepare reports on performance and impact to the host College and stakeholders.
    • Evaluate the impact of the training on apprentices' skills, knowledge, and behaviors.
  • Celebrating Success
    • Recognize and celebrate the achievements and successes of apprentices completing the Innovation Literacy training program.
    • Organize events or initiatives to showcase the impact of the program on apprentices and businesses.

Requirements

  • Level 4 or relevant experience.
  • Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel in the borough on a regular basis.
  • Experience in coordinating training programs or educational initiatives, preferably within the apprenticeship sector.
  • Experience of working with businesses to identify opportunities for training, growth, and increased productivity through innovation.
  • Experience of working with apprentices.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends effectively.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with a knack for inspiring creativity and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies relevant to education, training, and business innovation.
  • A passion for driving positive change and fostering a culture of innovation within the business community.
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders from a range of sectors.
  • Evidence of CPD relevant to the role and continued commitment to personal CPD.
  • Ability to multitask and track projects performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skill.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and engagement strategies.
  • Networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use technology platforms for event management and community engagement.
