Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced hairdresser/hairdressing lecturer to join our Hair & Beauty team at East Sussex College Group.

This role would suit either an established lecturer or an industry specialist looking to get into teaching. The post holder will be required to deliver practical and theory lessons and monitor students' progress as part of the tutoring role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students in the hairdressing department
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials, ensuring they are relevant and engaging for students
  • Contribute to the development of the hairdressing department, including curriculum design and delivery
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching and learning environment

Requirements

  • Qualification in hairdressing at Level 3 and above
  • Teaching qualification (desirable)
  • Assessors award (desirable)
  • Excellent knowledge of the hairdressing industry and working within industry
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and well-organized
  • Commitment to further professional development
