As a key member of the Financial Reporting team at Nationwide, you will play a crucial role in producing the Society's FINREP reporting to the PRA. Your expertise in accounting and financial reporting activities will be essential in identifying and implementing improvements and efficiencies in the reporting process.

This role requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering accurate and reliable reporting. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and the Head of External Financial Reporting to produce reports, understand reported information, and maintain quality assurance and control.

As a key contributor to the Finance & Efficiency Community, you will drive the implementation of efficiencies and improvements within FINREP, helping to achieve Nationwide's strategic goals. You will also be responsible for delivering to tight regulatory deadlines, following internal controls frameworks, and performing quality reviews.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience of statutory reporting. You will also require strong numerical, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills, as well as strong Excel skills, particularly with formulae such as vlookup, sumproduct, and sumif.
