Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator - Research & Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our Research & Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the clinical research team with all aspects of clinical trials administration, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and trust policies.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical trials processes and procedures, with experience in data management and staff supervision. You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely set up of clinical trials, workforce planning, and maintaining databases and spreadsheets. Additionally, you will assist with monitoring administration of research grants and charitable grants, confirming payments and liaising with the R&D Finance Department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the clinical research team with clinical trials administration, ensuring compliance with GCP and trust policies.
  • Oversee the efficient and timely set up of clinical trials, workforce planning, and maintain databases and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with monitoring administration of research grants and charitable grants, confirming payments and liaising with the R&D Finance Department.
  • Provide support to Research Nurses and the wider Clinical Research Team.

Requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant training courses in clinical research.
  • Experience in clinical trial administration, including data management.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of staff supervision/management.
