Commercial Director

Amplifi Talent is proud to be working exclusively with a leading business in the Construction Sector, who have a requirement for an experienced Commercial Director to join their high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Overall responsibility for projects, requiring excellent communication and leadership skills to bring teams together.
- Managing multiple, high-value contracts, balancing client and project team needs, and ensuring effective risk management.
- Adding value for clients by taking control, leading from the front, and maintaining first-class client relationships.
- Resolving contractual and commercial problems, contract assessment, and understanding/implementation of contract law.
- Risk assessment, ensuring effective controls and milestones are in place and adhered to.
- Commercial management of contracts, profitability analysis, and identifying potential cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Reviewing and developing operational process flows, overseeing financial KPIs, and ensuring stakeholders understand and adhere to agreed contractual obligations.
- Ensuring the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties, budgeting/cost control, and management/mentoring/training of Quantity Surveyors and the wider team.
- Leading the tendering process, preparing competitive bids, tracking, monitoring, and presenting variations to the client, and ensuring timely submission of all contractual documentation.
- Tracking, managing, and finalizing delay claims with the client for each project.
- 8+ years of experience in the Construction Industry, with a strong background in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
- Desirable qualifications include a BSc in Commercial Management & Quantity Survey or completion of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
- Strong relationship-building skills, ability to collaborate with teams and stakeholders, and create a culture of collaboration.
- Effective communication, leadership, and management skills, with the ability to balance the bottom line and client satisfaction.
