Commercial Construction Project Manager

Amplifi Talent is proud to be working exclusively with a leading business in the Construction Sector, who have a requirement for an experienced Commercial Director to join their high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Overall responsibility for projects, requiring excellent communication and leadership skills to bring teams together.
- Managing multiple, high-value contracts, balancing client and project team needs.
- Effective risk management, understanding and minimising risks to deliver expected outcomes.
- Adding value for clients by taking control, leading from the front through the entire project lifecycle.
- Resolving contractual and commercial problems, contract assessment, and implementation of contract law.
- Risk assessment, ensuring effective controls and milestones are in place and adhered to.
- Commercial management of contracts, profitability analysis, and identifying potential cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Reviewing and developing operational process flows, overseeing financial KPIs, and ensuring stakeholders understand contractual obligations.
- Ensuring financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties, budgeting, and cost control.
- Management and mentoring of Quantity Surveyors and the wider team, leading the tendering process, and preparing competitive bids.
- Track, manage, and finalise delay claims with the client for each project.
- Strong relationship building skills, working with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Collaboration with the team and network, creating a culture of collaboration, effective communication, and financial direction.
- Balance the bottom line of a project and the satisfaction of a client, developing a team environment where performance is recognised and rewarded.
- Encourage professional development in the team, hiring the right people, and investing time in their growth.
- A Qualification such as a BSc in Commercial Management & Quantity Survey is desirable.
