About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist to join our dynamic team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Orthoptist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality visual field services to patients, working closely with our team of Orthoptists and Consultants.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing timely and accurate visual field services to patients, including assessment and management of complex ocular motility defects.
  • Participating in the supervision and clinical instruction of undergraduate Orthoptic students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Working collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services and high-quality patient care.

Person Specification
  • Orthoptic Degree or Diploma recognised for State Registration.
  • State Registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience of the investigation, diagnosis, and management of complex ocular motility defects.
  • Experience of assessment of children/adults with special needs.
  • Experience of Visual Field examination using Humphrey Visual Field Analyser.
