An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Orthoptist to carry out specialist Orthoptic and Medical Retina Clinics. This post is suitable for Orthoptists who would like to specialise in medical retinal conditions and are happy to carry out intravitreal injections.

Main Duties- To be autonomously responsible for the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients presenting to the Orthoptic department and formulate relevant discharge plans and make appropriate onward referral.
- Provide timely paediatric and adult Orthoptic Services at Addenbrooke's NHS Trust and off-site Community Services, including specialist Orthoptic Services.
- Participate in extended Orthoptic clinical roles.
- The Orthoptist will also have an extended role in the Medical Retina Clinic and will be performing intravitreal injections on patients with age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy in a Consultant-led Clinic.
