Our Breakfast Club is an integral part of our school's daily routine, offering a safe and welcoming space for pupils to start their day. As a Breakfast Club Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of this service, providing a stimulating and caring environment for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up the Breakfast Club area, ready for pupils from 7:15 am.
- Supervise nursery children, booked and sibling drop, from 8:30 to 8:45, in collaboration with Nursery staff.
- Clear away resources and equipment safely at the end of each session.
- Contribute to the daily management and development of the Breakfast Club, promoting a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for pupils.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date registers, and pass any updates to the school office immediately.
- Be aware of pupils' individual physical, dietary, and special educational needs, and promote healthy eating.
- Ensure high standards of behaviour and employ appropriate behaviour management strategies where necessary.
- Liaise with relevant staff regarding specific issues with individual pupils, and ensure consistent management of such.
- Adhere to all recommendations made in relevant Risk Assessment documents.
- Assist in planning, ensuring a good range of age-appropriate activities on a daily basis, and keep copies of planning.
- Help promote the wellbeing of children and staff.
- Liaise with parents about their children's attendance at Breakfast Club, referring all other enquiries or comments to the appropriate school staff member.
- Maintain a professional manner and dress code at all times, in line with school policies.
- Follow school policies, including safeguarding of children, and report any concerns to the School Protection Officer.
- Raise any concerns immediately if staff-pupil ratios are not met at all times.
- Stay aware of relevant and new legislation, procedures, and policies to ensure the club operates within agreed parameters.
- Keep qualifications up-to-date, including Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum), Paediatric First Aid, and any other required training courses.
