Job Title: National Transport Manager

As a key member of the GB Cement team, you will play a vital role in shaping the logistics strategy for our business. You will be responsible for steering and guiding the development and implementation of our transportation operations, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the import, storage, and transportation of cement via road, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Manage a geographically dispersed team of direct and indirect reports, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of transportation operations.
  • Provide analytical data sets on cost, performance, and mitigation to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QSHE, supply chain, engineering, and operations, to ensure an aligned approach and success as a team.
Requirements:
  • TM CPC holder and willingness to be listed as the holder of the company's O' licence.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience, preferably within a unionised environment.
  • Proven experience of transport management in a similar or transferable fleet.
  • Experience of managing significant operating budgets.
