Job Overview

Position: 360 Telescopic Handler

Location: Peak District Area

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Compensation: £25-30 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Industry Focus: Heavy machinery operation, structural engineering, materials handling, and construction site management.

About Our Client:

We are collaborating with a prominent firm specializing in heavy plant engineering and construction services. We are seeking a proficient 360 Telescopic Handler to support operations at a significant customer site in the Peak District, for a minimum commitment of 6 months, contributing to the enhancement of a crucial process facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operating the 360 Telehandler (Manitou 5tn.) as required for the tasks at hand.
  • Transporting heavy materials, steel components, and equipment to designated locations.
  • Employing winch mechanisms to facilitate crane-like operations for under-slung loads.
  • Handling major steelwork and gantries, including columns and beams.
  • Ensuring safe operation of the telehandler throughout the duration of the project.
  • Utilizing the jib for crane-like functions with winch connections, ropes, or wires.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor while representing the company on-site at client locations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a valid site safety passport is mandatory.
  • 360 telescopic handler and under-slung load licenses are essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in heavy industry and engineering construction projects.
  • NVQ in Engineering Operations is advantageous but not required.

Position Benefits:

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM), with potential weekend shifts.
  • Contract is outside IR35 regulations.
