Job Summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of all activities related to the maintenance and upkeep of our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Oversee the completion of prioritized actions in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative frameworks and minimizing disruption to day-to-day site activities.
  • Work Request Management: Manage all daily work requests from colleagues and external stakeholders, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Asset Management: Coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of all site assets, including cooling water dispensers, boilers, and electric water heaters.
  • Fire Safety: Assist the Competent Person in reviewing annual Fire Risk Assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Document Management: Ensure all documents related to maintenance works are archived within the facilities department, and other documents are passed to relevant departments for archiving.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Manage the maintenance of grounds vegetation, perimeter fencing, and other site features.
  • Roller Shutter Doors: Maintain and repair roller shutter doors, ensuring the asset list and site plan are up-to-date.
  • Boiler Maintenance: Maintain and repair all works boilers and electric water heaters, ensuring the asset register and works plan are updated.
  • Internal Decorating: Oversee the internal decorating of all office buildings and floor coverings.
  • External Cladding: Maintain and repair external cladding on all buildings.
  • Office Maintenance: Maintain and repair all office doors, fire doors, and windows.
  • Car Park Maintenance: Maintain and repair the car park, plant roads, and authorized walking routes.
  • Building Roofs: Maintain and repair building roofs, including build-up and vegetation management.
  • Window Cleaning: Manage the window cleaning contract for the site.
  • Welfare Facilities: Maintain and repair all welfare and office plumbing and drainage, including toilets and showers.
  • Canteen Maintenance: Maintain and repair the canteen, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Marquees: Organize, manage, and maintain marquees for major shutdowns.
  • Contract Management: Manage external assistance, including suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant safety documents.
  • Legionella Risk Assessments: Manage actions associated with Legionella Risk Assessments and routine compliance monitoring.
  • Utility Surveys: Assist with utility surveys and clearance for breaking ground.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH National General Certificate, Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification, Level 4 Diploma in Facilities Management, Duty to Manage Asbestos (Appointed Person), F Gas Awareness/Management training.
  • Experience: 3 years relevant supervisory and management experience, personnel and cost management skills, financial planning ability, including longer-term budget management and shorter-term cost control.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, listening skills, highly organized, proven solution-oriented critical thinking, lead by example, challenge unsafe acts/conditions, attention to detail, work closely and effectively with groups at all levels, strong presentation skills, sound understanding of business management systems, excellent engagement skills, good knowledge of core IT systems.
