**Telescopic Handler Operator**

Location: Peak District Area

Contract Duration: 6 months

Compensation: £25-30 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Industry Focus: Heavy Machinery / Structural Engineering / Material Handling

About Our Client:

We are collaborating with a prominent player in the heavy machinery engineering and construction sector. We are seeking a skilled Telescopic Handler Operator to join a significant project aimed at enhancing a vital processing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operating the 360 Telehandler (Manitou 5tn.) as per project requirements
  • Transporting substantial loads, including steel structures and essential equipment
  • Employing winch systems to facilitate crane-like operations for suspended loads
  • Handling major steelwork components, including columns and beams
  • Ensuring safe operation of the telehandler throughout the project
  • Utilizing the jib in a crane-like manner with appropriate rigging
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor while representing the company on-site

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a valid site safety passport is mandatory
  • 360 telescopic handler and under-slung load certification are required
  • Demonstrated experience in heavy industry and engineering construction projects
  • NVQ in Engineering Operations is advantageous but not essential
